ONTSTEKING

'Ontsteking' is an artist-run space that is dedicated to showing contemporary art in a unique setting. The old hangar, located at the Ghent docks, was transformed into an exhibition space by NADARvzw in 2018.

Since then, various artists and initiatives have settled in Ontsteking, from students to established artists.

After the latest renovations, in early 2022, 'Ontsteking' wants to commit to a qualitative programme over quantity. There will be four to five exhibitions a year, with a particular focus on experimentation, research, collaboration and different insights into contemporary art today.
